"The best way to perfect order fulfillment"

An integrated approach

Respond flexibly, even in the face of growing complexity. Come up with customized solutions, despite rising pressure to standardize. Fulfill orders 100%, while cutting SCM costs!

We resolve this professed paradox in supply chain management by partnering with our customers to coordinate, develop and implement tailored measures in each field of activity:

The five fields of activity in integrated SCM

Even state-of-the-art production systems (such as Toyota PS and other integrated production systems) cannot achieve their full potential without the appropriate supply chain management. For us, an integrated approach also entails perceiving production systems and supply chain management as a logical unit. And this perspective figures prominently in our fields of activity.

Our consulting services are always results-oriented - we achieve maximum success at a predictable cost. This brand of dynamic and pragmatic consulting requires comprehensive best-practice knowledge and proven methods. This is what we stand for: Our skill set converges profound insight into the given industry and methods with project experience and management competence. To this end, we are at your personnel's side, guiding and motivating them to win their acceptance of and commitment to the change process.

The path to logistics excellence
As a matter of principle, Agamus' approach to consulting is trans-sectoral, whether we are tasked to organize individual logistics processes or a complex supply chain. We always start with the customer and future customer demands, and align all fields of activity accordingly. From the outset, we intensively engage all parties involved in the process in the project, including (external and internal) customers and suppliers. This helps us to achieve a sustainable transition from function-focused to process-oriented thought and action within the enterprise. And this is the prerequisite for successful SCM!

Our fundamental approach comprises the following three phases:

1. Supply chain assessment
Our supply chain assessment (SCA) provides the underpinning for every SCM project. Lasting up to three calendar weeks, this phase entails more than merely the pure analysis of figures, facts and data. It also focuses on the three key issues:

  • Vision: Which structure are we striving for?
  • Roadmap: What path are we going to take?
  • Readiness for change: A hallmark of our SCA is that alongside transferring know-how, we foster acceptance for the necessary measures on the part of the personnel affected by the transition, thereby creating the willingness to embrace change.

2. The change program
The insight gained in the SCA provides the basis for the change phase. Our consultants perform three key tasks during this phase:

  • Transfer best practices and method-know-how
  • Work with people
  • Proactively chart the course of the change process (leadership)

3. Secure sustainability
Once the enterprise has adopted the changes, it is vital to ensure their sustainability. We provide diligent coaching to support personnel as the given requirements dictate:

  • Ensure basic ideas persist and remain part of the mindset
  • Implement lessons learned as a process
  • Transition to the process of continuous improvement management (CIM)

More than ten years SCM project experience has taught us that two aspects are of decisive importance. The first factor is the personality and experience of our consultants. With persistence and insight, they drive the change process and stabilize it in a joint effort with your project team. This ensures your personnel become guarantors of SCM's success. At the same time, it creates a sound basis for the continued development of SCM. The second factor is Agamus' trademark approach:

  • Concise, pragmatic analysis of potential (supply chain assessment)
  • Immediate, highly motivating measures (Success breeds success!)
  • Intense involvement of employees, managers and external partners
  • Project management from analysis and conceptual design to implementation and stabilization
